Bristol Bay is a quaint neighborhood situated in Bristol, WI near the IL / WI border. As a resident of Bristol Bay, I love the fact that everything is within my reach with Pleasant Prairie, WI 5 miles to the east (shopping and dining) , Lake Geneva 20 miles to the west (more shopping and dining) and Milwaukee and Chicago are just short commutes to the North and South.
Bristol Bay has a mixture of townhomes built in 2006 and newly built detached single family homes. There are lots still available for purchase if you’re looking for brand new construction.
If you are an outdoorsy kind of person, Bristol Woods County Park is home to hiking trails, grills, a playground, and picnic tables and The Pringle Nature Center offers educational walks, snowshoeing, cross county skiing, and trails used for bird and wildlife observation. If you are an avid golfer, you can enjoy the greens at the Bristol Oaks Golf Club. How can I talk about Bristol without mentioning The Bristol Renaissance Faire which draws thousands every year during the summer. (https://renfair.com/bristol/) .
If you are looking for fine dining in Bristol, please be sure to visit The Red Oak Restaurant which serves locally sourced produce, artisanal cheeses, beers and spirits. (http://theredoakrestaurant.com/)
With a population just under 5,000, some refer to Bristol as Mayberry. The Mayberry sign hangs near a tree next to our local post office and the post office certainly is where “everyone knows your name” .
If you are looking to live in a small town but with all the city conveniences, Bristol, WI is the place to be!
